About The Fourth Annual Ontario Global Traders Awards

The very lifeblood of Ontario's economy is nurtured by trade and exports.

The stories that help make Ontario a powerhouse in international trade are
told in cities, towns and rural regions throughout our Province.

Ontario's small and medium-sized companies are succeeding in global
markets through innovative and high-quality products and services, through
strong partnerships and business alliances, and through the achievements
of individual men and women who have devoted a lifetime of mentoring and
leadership to Ontario's business and export community.

Many young Ontarians, either in school or with employers, are helping
to build a stronger, more prosperous future in Ontario through trade and
international business.

The Ontario Global Traders Awards are there to celebrate their triumphs.

The Ontario government, through its agency, Ontario Exports Inc. and its
partners in trade are placing the spotlight on these outstanding companies,
partnerships and individuals and the contributions they make to our economy
and to our success in world markets.

Ontario's first and only awards that celebrate the export achievements of
our small and medium-sized companies, leaders and students, the Ontario
Global Traders Awards have already attracted 600 high-quality submissions
from across Ontario over the past three years.

Next Spring, presentations will be made at regional award ceremonies in
northern, central, southwest and eastern Ontario. Regional winnerswill then
compete for the ultimate distinction, the Ontario Global Traders Provincial
Awards, to be announced in Toronto in May, 2002.
