ECOLO Investigates        … Landfill Site Problem A landfill site located in the north, has been a constant source of odor complaints for many years.  Recent court action and public outcry has finally created a willingness to solve this odor problem. Solution Ecolo has proposed various systems to treat the odors on their site, which has a circumference of approximately 7 kilometers. Due to budgetary restrictions the landfill has begun implementing our recommended program in stages.  The initial stage has seen the implementation of a portable EP system with portable nozzles mounted on poles.  This system has a configuration of nozzles placed around the area of the workface that is currently receiving waste materials. Conclusion Site personnel and management have noted a great improvement in the odor level and an ensuing decrease in complaints.
