ECOLO Investigates
       … Transfer Station

Problem
A large privately owned transfer station located in a southern industrial area was receiving continual complaints to the Ministry of Environment and Energy (M.O.E.E) filed by surrounding businesses.  After the transfer station received numerous fines and warnings due to odor complaints the M.O.E.E. recommended they contact Ecolo Odor Control Systems for assistance.

Solution
This was a critical situation and the transfer station required immediate relief.  Ecolo quickly arranged for a fogger to be used at the wet garbage area, for an interim solution, dispensing airSolution #23.  Within days the complaints were reduced and neighboring companies phoned to inquire and compliment the company on the pleasant change.
Ecolo then installed an EP-60 with 24 nozzles.  The height of the transfer station ceiling is 50 feet. To provide easy access to the nozzles, a newly designed pulley system was installed to
raise and lower the nozzles for servicing.  Each line has a winch at either end of the building so a cable can be used to raise and lower the nozzles. This leaves each line in a stable state of suspension while in operation.

Conclusion
The system is fully installed and the management is extremely happy that the odor problem is under
control and complaints have been eliminated.
